Outdoor Play

Play is how children learn best, being able to follow their natural curiosity and explore their environment will help their cognitive, physical and emotional development thrive.

At nurtured by Nature Kindergarten our play and learning follow the child. Our days will change and move in a natural way. One day we could be exploring bugs, swinging from trees or digging up some veggies. 

​

We are explorers and time waits for no one, so we will be busy and engaged ever day. A typical day will be us exploring our community garden and enjoying some healthy snacks and meals and then a wander down the glen or round the beautiful community green spaces. 

​

On days when the weather is extreme the children will be in our playroom, immersed in lots of loose parts and sensory based play. We also have the use of a gym hall where we can run off all our extra energy with ring games, parachute games or some songs and dancing.
