A little help goes a long way.

The church we are based in have reached out and asked for donations for their food bank. The families in Viewpark rely on this service, as terrible it is to need this sort of resource, the sad truth is that it is very much needed. There is chests at the entrance where families can come and pick out food and this needs replenishing almost daily. The church had asked in their intimations on Sunday for any help possible. We asked our wonderful parents if they could maybe donate a ton or two and the response we got was heart warming. It is only Wednesday and we have filled the box up twice.

The children have been asking why we are doing this which became a teachable moment. We talked about how some families are struggling with buying food and that in a caring society and as thoughtful humans we should always help people around us. Helping others teaches children that you should be thoughtful and caring and if you ever have the chance to help someone then you should. Our little ones already know about helping the community from visiting the community cafe and bring such joy to those who use this wonderful service. We are so proud of the caring people our little ones are and we are also proud of our parents who have been contributing to the food bank.
